About Shane
Shane was a dedicated man. He was a son, a grandson, a brother, a husband, a father, an uncle, and a friend to many. He served his country with the U.S. Air Force, including two tours in Iraq, and came home to serve his city as a Philadelphia Police Officer.
On October 10, 2026, Shane and his partner responded to a domestic call. After they left their patrol vehicle and knocked on the door, they were ambushed from behind. Shane was struck three times. His partner was struck twelve times. Fellow officers rushed Shane to the hospital, where he died a few hours later. His partner is in stable condition after several surgeries.
Shane leaves behind his wife and their two children, ages 7 and 3.
